The twinning focused on the scaling-up of REHAB-LAB, an integration of an electronic laboratory within a healthcare organisation and allowing patients/residents to design their own assistive devices using 3D printing. REHAB-LAB is based on user/occupational therapist collaboration with technical referents and has been a model for person-centered care innovation using digital tools. This twinning project was a success as it enabled a common framework to be adopted across European locations.
